Today's post I am going to share my newest green money saver adventure. I am going to make my own Laundry soap. One, to save money. Two, to get away from so many chemicals. The ingredients can differ depending on what you want your soap to be and how it should smell like. Me personally do not like things that have a perfumed smell. Like most perfumes and air freshner. I prefer soap smell, fresh air and sunshine smell. The ingredients I have chosen are 2 bars of grated and melted Purex Fels-Naptha soap. 1 Pint of 20 Mule team Borax. 1 Pint of Arm & Hammer Washing Soda. 2 cups of Oxy Clean and a quart of Hydrogen Peroxide. Depending on how concentrated you want your soap is up to you. so when adding hot water, the amount in up to you. Mix dry ingredients( not peroxide or grated bar soap) into 5 gallon pail(with lid) add atleast 2-4 gallons hot water. STIR till disolved. add melted Fel-Naptha soap and peroxide and stir till mixed. Now if you want more, just add more water. I would also keep the pan you melted the bar soap in separate from your other cookiing pans. Just use for the soap.
